Thanassis Leondaridis was born in Athens, in 1947. In 1971 he was accepted and enrolled in the Athens School of Fine Arts, but he soon dropped out since he did not find it useful. Since then, he keeps attempting to find someone who can be his teacher, to no avail.
He has invented many useless and some useful inventions.
He has invented many useless and some useful inventions.
He has been painting in his own personal style which he calls Virtual Volumism, It is a sort of painting where the painting does not play the role of a "window" hanging on the wall but rather a geometrically formed volume, often shaped out of several stretches of canvas, connected in both mechanical but also painted ways. Sometimes this volume may contain an opening through which we can see another painted subject.
