Born in Athens, in 1945, Kimon Valavanis studied Interior Decoration in Switzerland to returna nd spend two years by painter Giorgos Vakirtzis, in Athens. He subsequently spent a year studying in Paris, France. His first exhibition was at New Forms Gallery, in Athens, 1976, and two years later at Galerie Zygos, Athens, 1978. Since then, he has had several solo exhibitions and participated in group shows in Athens, the island of Lesvos and Munich, Germany, the three places where he lives and works.
