Alexandros Vakirtzis was born in Piraeus, in 1952, of parents who were both artists. He took music studies in both piano and drums and took part in music groups. At the age of 18, he was taken by Painting, and since 1975 he has been presenting his work in several solo and group exhibitions. In 1982 he settled in France, and begun an exhibiting tour in many European countries. He is a member of Maison d'Artistes, Paris. He now lives and works in Athens.
