Ioakeim Minaretzopoulos was born in Volos, Magnesia, in 1967. He studied painting at the Aristoteleian University of Thessaloniki, and then obtained his degree from the Athens School of Fine Arts under Dimitris Mytaras. He has shown his work in solo shows at Galerie Zygos, Athens, 2005, and three in his hometown, and has participated in several group exhibitions in Athens, Volos, Thessaloniki, Larissa, and Nicosia, Cyprus. He has done a number of mural paintings, both restoration and original work, and has extensively worked in stage design for the theater.
