Katerina Karagianni-Iatropoulou was born in Athens, in 1966. From her early years she got involved with journalism, and collaborated with several daily and weekly newspapers and magazines. She also published her work of fiction "To Psonio".
Since 1990 she is exclusively involved with painting. She studied under Antonis Politakis, the group of students of Yiannis Varlas, and the workshop of Nikos Christophorakis and Litsa Martzoulou. She exhibited her work frequently in Mykonos. Works of hers can be found in several private and public collections. She has also created book covers, and has done the art direction for documentaries and TV productions in Greece and Cyprus. In 2007 she had a solo show at Galerie Zygos, Ellinikos Cosmos.
