From September 17 through October 5 2008, Galerie Zygos presented the excellent portfolio of photographs titled "Lean On" by Thalassini Douma. In her series of black-and-white photographs of bicycle details Douma did not attempt to plainly record the visual image. The bicycle form became an almost human form, with sentimental curves, and the sense of the human touch. The support, the embrace, the sensual erotic aspect and sentiments stem out of the metal parts of the most cult means of Dutch transportation.
